Am I The A-Hole? My Fiancée Chose Her Daughter’s Story Over Me, So I Took Legal Action and Everything Collapsed.

I was engaged to Susan, who has a 14-year-old daughter, Jay. A few months ago, Jay made serious accusations against me. They were disturbing and completely untrue. The police investigated, and I was able to prove I couldn’t have done what she claimed.I work in new construction at a secure site. Every weekday, I park at my company’s office and get transported to the job site with my crew.

The location has strict security, constant monitoring, and controlled access. There’s no way I could leave unnoticed in the middle of the day. The timeline she described was impossible. Even so, Susan believed her daughter immediately. She told me to leave our apartment even though the lease is in both our names. That hurt more than the accusation itself.

I understand wanting to protect your child, but she didn’t even pause to consider my side. After speaking with my lawyer, I obtained a restraining order against Jay. She cannot come within 300 feet of me or my home. Because of that, she can’t stay in the apartment.

Right now, she’s staying with one of Susan’s friends. Susan is begging me to drop the order, saying she’ll have to move out if I don’t. I can afford the place alone. At this point, I want them both gone. I feel betrayed and I don’t know if protecting myself makes me wrong.
