AITA for cutting off my adoptive parents?

For context I’m 20, I haven’t lived with them since I was 15 (when they kicked me out) and ive been on my own since, every conversation they sneak in rude things to say and are always insulting my appearance so I try not to talk to them when I can avoid it. I tried giving them a chance with my pregnancy because they were telling me they wanted to be involved in their grandchild’s life, which makes sense. Anyone would want to be, right?

I decide to give them a chance and take maternity photos (even if I think doing that’s a bit silly)

They know I have scars on my body (I used to be depressed about three years ago) and don’t like showing them off, and they handed me a short sleeved shirt for the photos. My boyfriend was with me and stood up for me saying if they were going to post these for all our family to see we’d just swap shirts and come back another time to take photos.

They blew up instantly, my mom took out her phone and started recording him, my dad said he’d make my boyfriend’s face look as “scarred up as her arms do” so we left.

Not ONLY did they follow us in their truck, they drove in front of us and stopped to block us from going anywhere, my mom started calling the cops saying my boyfriend of two years was “kidnapping someone from the park” and he had a gun.

I blocked them and haven’t talked to them since, I genuinely think they were trying to get the cops to kill him. It was awful, I had to stand in the cold crying and pregnant talking to the police to explain what happened for a few hours before we went home.

I haven’t talked to them since and don’t want them in my life, but I want to know if we were the assholes in this situation

I don’t think I’m wrong for being scared of them, they’ve never been good people
