AITAH for going through the other door at Walmart when there was a long line at the other door for Pokémon on release day?

Ok, so I have 2 teenage boys who love Pokémon. Have been playing and collecting for over a decade. Today was the release of the new set, Ascended Heros. The local Walmart opened at 6am and my boys wanted to get a shot at the Elite Trainer Box(ETB). We have never went for a new release on release day expect once at game stop and they were sold out but the time we got there.

We show up at Walmart at 5:45 to a line of about 30 people, but only at one door. The other door had no one, so me and my son’s waited in front of that door. 6am turns over and the employee opens our door first, so we walked in and they said if we’re here for Pokémon cards to go to customer service, so we did. After 1min, they opened the other doors and the line starts to pile in. The first 5 people immediately start to blow up on me. I do know that some of those people have been there for hours waiting in line. They get an employee to kick us out of the line and basically call me a shit father for doing this.

Obviously we didnt get anything due to the limit of items even though they limited it to one item per person. (There was ETBs and other smaller items as well) so we checked a couple other places but nothing.

So, am I the AH for not waiting in their line and using the other door? Is this really setting a bad example? I just thought I was thinking outside the box for a shot at the cards. I legit didnt even know I had to go to customer service. I don’t feel like an AH but im honestly not sure after thinking about it for the last couple hours.
