AITAH for telling my daughter to close her legs and kicking her out?
My oldest daughter is 19. I have always struggled with her, she has ADHD. As a child countless medications and therapies. I found out she was having sex very young and got her on birth control. She refused to take it. She had her first child at 15, everyone blamed me but I’m a widowed mother with 4 children. She wanted to keep the baby, she seemed to really be turning her life around. She started going to therapy, and seeming to try and do better for herself and the baby. At 17, she miscarried. She wasn’t aware she was pregnant until it was happening. We had a stern talk and I told her she either needed to take her birth control or she could not live in my house (empty threat. But realistically I have 3 other children in my home plus my grandchild.)
A few days ago my daughter came to me and told me she’s was expecting. She was excited about it and telling her siblings. She isn’t even dating the guy. I have no room in my home for more babies and I’m even more upset she disrespects me and thinks everything is okay. We got into a huge argument because I told her this was not good news and she was only making things harder for herself. I told her take the pill everyday it is that easy.
She got angry and said I’m going to have a second grandchild and I should be happy. I told her I’m not happy and she should’ve keep her legs closed and she needed to be out of my house within the week. She was pissed, packed up and left saying how I’d never have a relationship with her kids. She ended up staying with her grandmother (my husbands mom) and she reached out angry at me. She asked me how I could do this to my child, blamed me for my daughters behavior and pregnancies and then said my husband would be furious if he knew what was happening. We also got into an argument. AITA
