WIBTA if I reported my ex’s sx offender status to his neighbors?

My ex is a registered s*x offender for two separate convictions against children in the 90’s. When we were together, he hid this information from me. He violated parole by being on the Internet and that’s how we met. He violated parole again by dating me because I had 2 young children, a boy and a girl. I found all this out after the fact because my daughter made a complaint about him after we broke up. She was 16. The complaint was investigated and even went to trial, but because my daughter had mental health problems and had run-ins with dr*gs and police, it was a hung jury and he walked. The prosecutor was not allowed to bring up the prior convictions either.

My daughter never got over it because she died years later of a dr*g overdose.

We broke up 20 years ago and I’ve often considered trying to report his status to his current neighbors because they probably don’t know. Google maps is good enough now that I can zoom into a neighborhood and I can get the addresses of all the houses in the area. I’ve considered making post cards with his picture from the registration website and the conviction information.

WIBTA if I followed through with this plan and continued to do so every 5 years or so? Where does this cease to be “public safety reporting” and become harassment?

UPDATE: lots of people have suggested counseling and I’ve done that. Thank you. Even though HE is 20 years in my past, my daughter’s death is only 8 years ago and she left behind 2 children.

The thing that has renewed this thought in my brain is a post I saw a few weeks back of a young girl that said how happy she was that she was no longer going to an undisclosed school because of a teacher there that had ab*sed her. Other girls chimed in saying the same thing. I tried my hardest to get the girls to report it and none would, saying it’s over for them and they just want to move on. I asked them about all the future ab*SE they could prevent and they wouldn’t budge. This has really affected me. If I can prevent another girl from suffering the same fate, I’m going to try my darndest.
