AITA for not helping my husband shovel the snow?
This morning we were all going out to an event. I got up at 5am (am 35 weeks pregnant and high risk btw) fed the 2 toddlers, dressed them, fed my husband, helped him cut his hair, swept the floors, Painted the kids cheeks, git their boots and voats on and buckled them into the car. Now it was extremely cold today. I brushed a but of snow off of the car and was gonna scrape the windsheild but he said no and got out to shovel. He comes back amd turns the car off saying “its gonna take like 30 minutes.
You can take the kids inside if you want” then angrily also says “im not expecting any help” ( which means he wants me to help but he isnt expecting it because he knows im not going to) then goes back out. I decide im not having a screaming fight with toddlers to get them back inside then come out again right after so i give them a show while we wait. I dont know exactly how cold it it but he came back in and asked me to move the garbage bags from the driveway so i did. I also scraped the windshield when he asked me too.
Now he has bad frostbite on his ear like 12 hours later. He is blaming me saying “you didnt even offer me a glass of water.” You didnt help even tho i said its serious outside and asked for help many times (he didnt) he also said he told me to take the kids in but he said i could if i want…
After the shoveling thing. When we were driivng to the event he spent the whole time swearing and trash talking me and my family.
What else was i supposed to do? Leave the kids alone and shovel for him? Is it my fault he didnt cover his ears
