AITAH for recording my own room when I leave the house?
I personally don’t think I’m wrong but my step sister is upset that I did this. So basically ever since we became a blended family I’ve (17F) noticed my step sister (15F) going into my room and taking things or I’ll find things of mine in her room and when I confront her she says “oh I found it out in the lounge room” like yes totally, my favourite mascara was just out in the lounge room. The thing is she has Autism so whenever I confront her she pulls this stupid pouty face because she knows she can get away with it.
The other day I went out with my mum for lunch and decided to use my iPad to record my room to see if anybody comes in and to nobody’s surprise at all she came into my room, she used my phone charger which I didn’t give her permission to use and then she also looked around my room and took my mascara. When I confronted her I asked her why she went in my room and she said to charge her phone and when I asked her about touching my things she said “no I didn’t” but when I told her I recorded it she said “well I didn’t but I didn’t mean to take anything” how tf does that work??? And then she didn’t speak to me for like 2 days.
I’ve done it again today because I allowed her to charge her phone in my room while I was gone but I had a feeling she would touch things and her dad made a snarky remark about me recording ( both my mum and him knew I did it) but if she didn’t want me to record then she should have never gone into my room and taken my things.
